Michelle Nicole Matlock a native of Washington State graduated from the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York City. She began developing her solo show THE MAMMY PROJECT in 2001 and continues to tour the show at universities, colleges and festivals around the world. Currently Michelle is developing an original work with the band Inner Princess called Sum of Us, which explores transgender history and the life of Harlem Renaissance Blues Singer Gladys Bentley. Dixon place selected this work as their only Mondo Cane spring 2007 Commissioned original work. Michelle has worked as an actress for The New Acting Company, Moonwork Inc. Fay Simpson’s Impact Theater and Crossbreeding Productions. She has also been featured as a physical comedienne in Circus Amok, The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and The Daredevil Opera Company‘s CIRCUS INFERNO. Often Michelle is a professional clown for The Big Apple Circus Clown Care and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Krooze Komics. Michelle was selected for the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation's Artist & Communities 2005 residency at The LGBT Center in New York City. She has taught numerous workshops in Solo Performance Creation at Universities across the country, Community Centers and after school programs in NYC.

Joan Evans--Co-Developer-- Joan has directed and taught actors for two decades. She performed her solo work throughout the U.S. and in Brazil, Germany and Austria. Her solo, Rico and Dolores, received an UNIMA Award for work combining acting, puppetry and dance. She created, directed, and choreographed the ensemble work, *Where Ravens Rule* a response to the war in Bosnia, which received a Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. A Tennessee Williams Fellow at the University of the South, she directed *Is It Already Dusk?* which she developed in collaboration with Harry Rubeck. She recently directed Tony Hamilton's*s *It*s a Wonderful Lie,* at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She is the Artistic Director of the Performance Salon in NYC. She is Head of the Movement Program at Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC. The Mammy Project was developed at The Performance Salon, which is a creative place to develop solo work. Amy Gordon-Direction--Amy G started research and writing with Michelle on the Mammy Project way back in 1998. Although the road has taken her away from the last few incarnations of the show, thank goodness life has a way of making circles complete. Most of the year she is lucky enough to work with the Daredevil Opera Company, making pyrotechnic clown-theater shows in awesome venues like the Sydney Opera House, the Kennedy Center, the Adelaide International Festival and lots of other venues in small towns and villages around the world. She’s directed lots of shows, most of them comedies, some of them dark or political, and all of them really sweaty. Amy and Michelle have worked together for 12 years. They ran a company called Crossbreeding Productions, where they produced vaudeville, comedy and even some real drama. Together, Matlock and Gordon have made fools of themselves in variety acts, a show called "Tale of Two Sillies", and doing improv and comedy sets on cruise ships. Thank you to Matlock and everyone in the audience that listens with heart and laughs with abandon.

Kris Anton-Multimedia Design -- The Bindlestiff Cirkus’s resident sound tech for 7 years forthcoming; Kris also drums weekly in the electro-clash accordion pyrate puppet show ‘Jolly Ship The Whiz Bang’, plays bass for the rock accordion band 'Benjamin Ickies’, ‘Preservation Society', and spends his free time looking for other things to do with the word ‘accordion’ in them. His dog Luther is, in fact, the only ‘Sound Dog’ ever to work on 42nd Street, and hates accordions almost as much as balloons.

Mornography-Minstrel Rap Animation--animator and tattoo artist Erlich .-- Mor’s animation utilizes found and retouched web images, original video footage, photography, illustration, cut outs and puppets to create a moving collage. Independent shorts by mornography include The Albert movie, The Minstrel Show Rap, The Yard and Bimboim's trip to the Western Wall, which has screened internationally. Mor illustrated the first Circus Amok activity book, tattoos grapefruits and animal hide and she is an active participant of the Musee de Monoian, where she presents her work.


Noah Todd -Video Editor-- Noah has been filming and editing variety arts performances over the past six years here in New York and recently abroad through out western Europe including the prominent Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Noah worked for Thirteen on the Metro Arts Program, and currently edits commercials for HBO and ESPN Classic. Learn more about Noah Todd Productions at

Manchildblack-Original Music—Set Her Free-- Born in New York City, Manchildblack is a singer, songwriter who elevates, educates and entertains through music. Along with his songwriting partner, Shelton Garner, he is a two time winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and has performed live around the city at such hotspots as SOB's, Joe's Pub and CB's Gallery. Manchildblack is currently at work on his debut cd, to be released later this year and is one of the forces behind the ALMA Brazilian parties that happen once a month at Sullivan Room.

Randy Wilson -Composer of Music—Old Aunt Jemima Blues/Travelin’ Music --Born in Brooklyn, Randy Wilson has been a stellar member of the New York music community for many years as a songwriter, producer and music technical advisor. Randy*s song writing talents have covered a wide variety of musical styles ranging from Jazz to R&B to musical theater. He has worked with various artist including George Benson, Vernon Reid (Living Color), Ted Mills (Blue Magic), Fonda (*Over Like a Fat Rat*) Rae Cliff *Moonie* (Steel Pulse), Aisha Mike, Aja (U.K. recording artist) and is currently a member of the Brian Jackson Band. Randy has likewise recently completed the musical scores for the meditation CD of holistic health practitioner, Valerie Winbourne, the CD of motivational speaker, Renee McCrae, The Community Theatre International*s production *A Happening* . His latest collaborative C.D. release is entitled "Blues Suite, Voices and Memory " with Poet: Gary Johnston. Randy is likewise presently the keyboardist for Jazz/Organic Soul Flute Artist : Monet

Jen Urban-Composer of Music --Minstrel Show Rap-- Jen a native California girl, has been composing music and performing in NYC for over four years. You can currently hear her with her band,JEN URBAN AND THE BOX, a four piece, all girl, dance/rock explosion!
